How to install a free blogger background from scratch
It's been on your mind for awhile now. You've been thinking about setting up your very own blog. The thought of expressing yourself to the world is exhilarating.
You know that blogs are free on blogger.com, and have seen many beautiful blogs that have fancy backgrounds and have wondered how do they do that?
Well fret no more! Just follow the simple step by step directions below and you will be up and running with blog featuring a background from www.freebloggerbackgrounds.com in less than 10 minutes. How great is that?
1. If you do not have a GMail account, go to www.gmail.com and sign up for a GMail account. Then go to blogger.com and sign up for a free blog using your GMail email address.
2. A page should come up similar to the picture below. Pick a name for your blog and see if it is available. Once you have a name fill out the captcha letters and click continue.
2. The next page that comes up asks you to choose a template. Click on "Simple"
and press continue.
3.Hurray you now have a blog! You are in business. Only a few more steps to follow to install your beautiful blog background from www.freebloggerbackgrounds.com. Click on the start blogging arrow.
4. A page come ups that looks like the picture below. Go to the navigation tabs and click on the design button.
4. Once you click on the design button you should now have a page that says add and arrange page elements.
Click on the Edit Html button on the row below the navigation tabs.
5. A page now appears that has a box with all this code. Scroll down past that box, and click on a link that says Select layout template. It is under the Old Template section. See the red arrows in the picture. They point to the correct link.
6. The page that now comes up asks you to select a template. Choose Minima and click Save Template.
7.The page that now appears looks like the picture below. Click on add a gadget.
8. Click on the plus sign next to Html/JavaScript.
9. Go to the top of the page and click on the File link, then click on new window. A new window opens up in your browser. Go to www.freeblogger backgrounds.com
10. Go to the scroll box under the background that you want for your blog, and highlight the code.Click on Edit Copy.
11. After you copy the code into the Configure HTML/Javascript box (back on your blogger.com page), click on save.
12. Click on save again in the upper right corner of page.
13.Click on view blog. If all has gone right your blog should load up with its beautiful free background from www.freebloggerbackgrounds.com.
